Anders Damgaard Jensen is a European Patent Attorney with more than a decade of experience in patent law and practice. Anders joined Novagraaf in June 2021 and focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and providing infringement and validity opinions and freedom-to-operate searches and opinions, as well as providing strategic client advice. Anders has built up considerable experience supporting large multinational companies in the software, semiconductor, telecommunication, optical technology and physics sectors. He is equally experienced at providing cost-effective patent strategies tailored for SMEs and start-ups, including undertaking many IP audits for companies looking to develop strategies for protecting their IP.
Career history
Anders obtained an M.Sc. in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. Prior to joining Novagraaf, he held patent attorney positions at a number of leading UK private practices, and before that was a Patent Examiner at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office.
Work highlights
Anders has provided targeted patent advice for a number of large multinational companies, including prosecuting European patent applications for one of the world’s leading semiconductor companies
As a specialist in software patents, Anders has also successfully prosecuted a number of UK and European software patent applications, which initially looked like they would not be granted.
In the course of his career, Anders has presented on targeted IP topics at several events and conferences for start-ups and entrepreneurs.
